I couldn't restart IIS server

Hi there,
I couldn't restart IIS server. I can only stop the IIS server. What is the
best
way to recover this? Thank you for your advise.

what about going to command prompt, and enter 'iisreset.exe'

what's your OS version? anything in event log?

I tried to use command "iisreset.exe".

The following is the result:
Attempting stop...
Internet services successfully stopped
Attempting start...
(Then cursor is hanging here)


I right-click on "my computer" and select "Manage". Then under "Service and
Applications"-> Internet Information Services -> Default Web Site, I
right-click on
Default Web Site, then

I can stop this web server. But I couldn't start the web server. I seems I
get the same

result as command "iisreset.exe".

So far I did not see any event log related to IIS.

Please advise.

Ok, double check event log again,¡¡£É'm sure that you will see relevant
error log.
Also check if the remote procedure call services is started.
