在IIS6.0上的 Xeon 選擇雙核心或HT

請問在IIS6.0上 Xeon 選擇雙核心或HT有什麼差別嗎
雙核心有支援上的問題嗎 ? HT呢 .因為根據Intel 講師說明在2003上面是可以開的
這方面的答案很模糊 ..

Wow, duo-core and HT ?
Mm... though I work for them I have no too clear as well :)

First, dual core is using to two set of processors in the same die, so in a
way is two physical processors.
where as Hyperthreading is a technology on duplicating the architecture
state of the processor, as it having another processor, but in a logical
mode. so for 1 HT CPU - w2k3 see as 2 phyiscal cpu box

for 1 dual core, w2k3 I believe will see 2 as well..........

activate? well, this is automatic pick up by the system.

do you mean you have a server that has 1 HT processor + 1 dual core?
I don't think any vendor sell it this well.

anywhere, both should auto detect from the OS point of view, you don't need
to configure anything afaik.
